We used Mrs. Carper for a step-parent adoption. Because we were in the military and living on base in Quantico, we had to file our case in Prince William County which is outside of her normal jurisdiction. We ended up moving out of state during the process and she continued to handle everything for us at distance without requiring us to uproot our lives from across the country to make it to court or appointments. We just finalized our adoption in which Ms. Carper was the Guardian Ad Litem. She was courteous, caring and very confident at all times. We so appreciate that she was able to put our daughter at ease, and that she actually looked forward to all interactions with Ms. Carper. In this day and age, it is refreshing to find someone who is extremely competent and professional yet has not lost that personal touch.
